Congratulations and sincere thanks to all participants: over 75 beautiful photos were submitted, all of which may be viewed on exhibition at the Dickinson House throughout the summer season, with the winning entries featured in a fundraising 16-month calendar. The calendar is currently available for sale for $20 each, at the Watson’s Mill gift shop. All proceeds for the sale of this calendar will be going towards the 150th anniversary celebrations of Watson’s Mill next year, in 2010.
The overall “People’s choice”, a photo of the Mill at Night by Don Campbell, was chosen by visitors during the season opening celebrations of Watson’s Mill in early May, and is featured on the cover of the calendar.
Many thanks go to Lynne Freitag, Framing & Art Centre, and Helen Cory, Platypus Inc., for championing this community activity on behalf of Watson’s Mill, and to Royal Lepage Gale Real Estate, for sponsoring the production of the calendar.
