Walking Tours
Larry Ellis, of Manotick recently created two walking tours in partnership with The Rideau Seniors Centre, both of which start at the Cenotaph and end at Watson’s Mill. The tours take about 45 minutes and include visits and a description of some of the more interesting buildings and events in Manotick’s history
Both tours include Watson’s Mill, the Cenotaph, AY Jackson Park and Dickinson House and include visits to restaurants and so you can schedule a stop at the same time.
Thanks to Larry and the Rideau Seniors Centre (138 Clapp Lane, Box 423, Manotick, K4M 1A4) for sharing this slice of Manotick’s history.
Tour One, with 18 points of interest will appeal to those who would like to visit the Millers Oven, a local restaurant which is run by volunteers of the Rideau Township Senior Citizens Centre.
